Defining Your Strong Why

Posted by shefreen on December 7, 2008

Will You Cross that I-Beam?

To start, I’m going to share a story with you. One afternoon, there was a group of 350 people at a meeting with a motivational speaker. The speaker gave an analogy of a scenario to evaluate why people decide to build their business and quit their j-o-b.

“Say you’re in the city of New York,” she said. “And you’re on top of one tower. And there’s an I-beam that goes to an adjacent tower. An I beam is made from steel and it’s about eight inches wide. Well, I’m on the other side of the I-beam with ten thousand dollars. Would you cross that I-beam?”

At that point, no one in the room of 350 raised their hand.

She went on to say, “Let’s say it started to rain and the wind started blowing really strong. And this time, I’m across the bridge with one hundred thousand dollars. Would you cross that I-beam?”

One person’s hand went up slowly. But the person looked as though they weren’t sure.

“Alright,” she said. “Well let’s say this time I have one million dollars and the wind started to pick up. Would you cross that I-beam?”

Now, about four hands went up. A couple seemed unsure with their hands about half way up.

“So let’s say you’re on one side of the I-beam and I am on the other side,” she said. “But this time I have your wife or kids or husband or parents or someone you care about. And I will drop them off the edge if you don’t cross that beam. Would you cross that beam?”

Now at this point, something very powerful happened. Every single hand shot up really quick.

She concluded by saying, “When your “why” is connected to your heart you will do anything to cross that I-beam”

Why are You Running Your Own Home Based Business?

Well in order to determine your “why” there are a few questions that you need to answer. I’m sure every why will be different. It is very important that you create a very powerful “why”, because this will keep you going through smooth times as well as rough times.  Ask yourself these four questions:

  1. If today you were earning an extra $5000 or $10,000 a month, how would you use the extra income?
  2. When you start making an extra $5000 or $10,000 a month, how will your life change?
  3. How will you feel when $5000 or $10,000 a month?
  4. What will you know about yourself when you start making $5000 or $10,000 a month?

Take your time to answer those questions. Create your million-dollar why and keep your eyes on the prize.

How Can Internet Marketing Boost Your Home Based Business?

Posted by shefreen on December 7, 2008

The internet is a traffic source for millions of people from all over the world. People are constantly flooding the net seeking information, books, real estate, opportunities, entertainment, and other products and services. Having a business on the internet is like having a business in the busiest place on earth. An online store, unlike an offline store, has the possibility of having millions of people browsing and purchasing everyday. An offline store is limited to the traffic where it’s located. There are hundreds and maybe thousands of potential customers, compared to hundreds of thousands and millions of potential customers online.

In order to have a profitable business online, you need to know how successful businesses on the internet work. It takes internet marketers an average of three years to start making enough money to become financially free. It can be less and it can be more as well. This depends on your own personal efforts. However, very few marketers have been able to become an overnight success. The difference between successful and unsuccessful marketers is their style of marketing. In order to have a successful store online, you need traffic.

You need to get people to come into your store, become interested in what you are offering, and purchase your product and services. This has no relation to whether or not you have the best product or the most beautiful website in the world. It’s about attracting your target market. There are some people who have some poorly designed website, but get traffic and have lifelong customers who they have never personally met. There are also those who do not own a website and do well marketing other people’s products. In short, your marketing technique is very important.

When people come to your website, the first thing that they will be doing is read the headline. The headline has to be interesting for people to want to read the rest. Grab their attention with an interesting headline and give them more appealing information about what you are offering. People do not only want to know how good your product is. They want to know most of all how well your product will benefit them. Even if it’s not your product, if you are marketing something, let your customers know how it will benefit them.

The primary skill needed for succeeding online is building relationship. Building relationship with your target market is very important, because people do business with someone they know, like and trust. For your business to take off, you must serve many.

Renegade Network Marketer and Attraction Marketing

Posted by shefreen on November 16, 2008

In the early 1990’s, the internet took the world by storm. Many people did not understand the internet or how it works. In fact, many people still do not understand how the internet works. However, many realized its potential and used it to increase and spread knowledge, increase profitability, and create new forms of business. Encyclopedias became readily available at people’s finger tips. The creation of Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia that was available to internet users for edit, gave people the opportunity to share their knowledge while gaining some.

Offline businesses created websites so that people will be able to access their offices and stores from everywhere in the world. Internet based businesses such as Google and Yahoo, took advantage of the need for businesses to show themselves to the world and implemented pay per click advertisements. Microsoft created hotmail, which was the most popular online communication site, and was big on banner advertisement. Then there was ebay, which was created to give people a place to buy and sell products, antiques and arts in particular. People who use to sell products at garage sales were now selling on ebay. They were reaching millions more potential customers than they would have if they had stayed offline. The list of internet potential goes on and on. But the big question is what the internet is?

Technically, the internet is a worldwide, publicly accessible network of interconnected computer networks transmitting data through internet protocol (IP). The IP is a datagram that transmits blocks of information through a series of computer networks. In other words, the internet is one big network made up of smaller networks and computers. For you to use the internet to your advantage, you do not need to know all of those technicalities. All that matters is that you know what you are able to use the internet for.

You may use the net for communicating through social networking, emails, instant messages, and voice and video conferences. You can use to share files, gather information, and purchase products. You may also make a living online. There are many ways in which you may do that. As long as there is a demand for something that can be supplied to billions of internet users all over the world, you can make a living online. All it takes is education, application and determination. The truth of the matter is that there are many sharks in the waters. So to make it on the internet, you must be competitive. You must know what your competitors are doing and take the necessary steps and procedures to surpass them.

Over the past decade, the Internet has exploded and contributed a tremendous amount to our gross domestic product. The power of the Internet is unbelievable. You can find everything on the Internet. There are products and information, peoples, properties, business opportunities, chat rooms, music, movies, and even education. You name it, it’s on the Internet. One of the fastest growing businesses on the Internet nowadays is the education business. Internet education has been labeled “Webucation”, which has been forecast to become the next fastest growing business on the Internet. Education will provide a faster way for professionals to keep up with changes in their field. Also, network marketers are able to harness the power of webucation to dramatically improve their businesses.

How Will Advertising Help Your Home Based Business?

Posted by shefreen on November 16, 2008

Marketing can be challenge and also can be time consuming and costly. I’m going to show you many marketing options are available, and the positive attributes and negative attributes of each system. Here are the different marketing options available:

1.     Pay per click advertising – With pay per click advertisement, you pay for what you get. If you get no traffic, then you pay nothing. But if you get traffic, then you pay for each click you get. It can cost much, because you are competing with marketers who might have higher bid prices.

2.     Impression Advertisement – With impression advertising, you pay per impression. So whether or not you get traffic, you will be charged a fee. This form of advertisement can become very expensive, with little to no results.

3.     Lead marketing - There are two types of lead adverting:

a.     Purchasing Leads – You could choose to purchase lead from a lead generating company. But there are more flaws with this kind of lead generating advertising that there are positive attributes. You need to understand that these lead generating companies are in business to make money.  The only good thing with purchasing lead is that you have some contacts who are potential customers. But the many challenges can be overwhelming. First of all, you need to develop a relationship with the people who you will be phoning or emailing. If you do not have a relationship, then they will think that you are just some greedy person with a long pocket who is trying to sell them something they don’t want.

b.     Create your own lead – You can generate leads while developing a relationship with your customers. Next thing, some of these leads might be very old and useless. The second type of lead generating adverting is that you create your own leads for free. The way to do this is to sell a product for a low cost that most people can afford and use the income from that product to advertise. It’s very simple. You can do this with either your own product or someone else’s products. You can do this one of two ways on the Internet. You can have a lead page only explaining information about the product but only asking for the person’s contact information. Another way is to create a sales letter and include the option to either purchase the product or request more information. Both ways are equally effective from my experience.

4.     Offline Advertisement – Do not underestimate the power of offline advertisement. Everyday there are hundreds of thousands of newspapers circulated in cities all over Canada and the United States. By diversifying your advertisement, you will get more potential customers. There are thousands of people looking in the papers for business opportunities daily.

5.     Niche Market Advertising – Niche marketing is advertising only to a small number of people looking for what you are offering. For example: You can place an advertisement for a house for sale on the front page of a newspaper. But when you do that, the cost is very high, and most people looking at the front page are not looking for a house to buy. Rather, they will be looking through the “Real Estate” section. So the most likely place for you to place that ad will be in the real estate section of the paper. Therefore; instead of spending a large amount of money for adverting in a place that is very general, you spend a fraction of that cost advertising to people who specifically are looking for what you offer.

So when you are advertising your products and services, it’s best to focus on niche related to what you offer. If you offer an MLM or any money making product, then you should be looking into advertising in the business sections of magazines and newspapers, and choosing keywords related to your business in pay per click advertisements.

Why Prospecting is Important for Your Business Growth

Posted by shefreen on November 16, 2008

Multi-level marketing (MLM or Network Marketing) has a mount of potential to create freedom, time, and flexibility through residual income. But it can be tricky. 97% of people involved in an MLM are unsuccessful. The reason is because time has changed and the duplication method we being taught by most up-lines do not work.

When you are running a home based business, your inventory is your list of prospects. You must always be sure to be adding to your list of prospects so that your business can grow.

Traditionally, home based business owners seek prospect by cold calling and Going out in the public and talking with people. They seek their prospects to find out if they will be interested in either their products and services and their business opportunity. Neither of them works.

People do business with people who they like, know, and trust. It’s very difficult to get people to know, like, and trust you by cold calling them during their dinner time and meeting them at the mall for the first time. It’s been proven 97% of the time that the old fashioned way of prospecting does not work. It’s time consuming and costly. And you are not guaranteed results.

So the question is, “How do you get prospects into your business on a continuous basis?”

At Renegade University, you can get invaluable step by step FREE training that shows you how you attract prospects or leads to your business. Mike Klinger guide’s you through Ann Sieg’s e-book, “The Renegade Network Marketer”, incorporating Mike Dillard’s “Magnetic Sponsoring” and “Building on a Budget” to bring you the best of both worlds.

Mike Klingler walks you through the system step by step so you can create your own lead capture page, generate your own prospects, and make money while doing it. This beats the traditional way of prospecting by far. Rather than you draining your pocket on prospects that may not even join your business, you are getting paid to attract qualified prospects to your business. He breaks it down so simple that even computer novice can look like internet marketing pros.

How to Choose a Network Marketing Company

Posted by shefreen on November 16, 2008

When you are considering a Network Marketing business (MLM or Multi-level Marketing), here are a few things to bear in mind:

1.     There has to be a GREAT product line.  If there re isn’t an excellent product line to start, then the company would not last a long time. If there are no products, then run! A MLM without a product is not a MLM. It’s a pyramid. Pyramids are illegal and they are scams to dip into people’s pockets.

2.     Duplicate yourself. You must understand that just because you are among the first few to stat a MLM business does not guarantee that you will make money. You need to do some work and duplicate yourself. When you duplicate yourself, you have a better chance of establishing and maintaining a residual income.

3.     Help your sponsors. Assist your down lines to build leads. When you help your sponsors, you will have the potential to get paid more. The example and support you show your sponsors is what they will show to their sponsors. Build your MLM business by helping supporting your sponsors. Help them to bring in leads and make sales. When they are well trained, they will eventually be able to run their MLM business successfully, and will train their down lines to become professional marketers.

4.     Affiliate marketing is another way to create multiple streams of income on the internet. It’s a great way for new comers to market. Affiliate marketing is selling other people’s products for a commission. Some affiliate marketing programs have two or more tier commissions as well. What that means is you can make money from someone else’s sale if that person signs up through your link. There are two affiliate marketing commission types to choose from. You may get paid either on a lump sum basis or a percentile basis. However, it depends on the compensation plan that the company offers.
